Artificial Intelligence, more known as AI is basically refers to the simulation of human-like intelligence in machines and computer systems, that enables them to perform tasks that typically requires human intelligence. These tasks may include decision-making, learning, problem-solving, understanding language, recognizing patterns, and adapting to new information etc.
Types of AI :
Based on capabilities, artificial intelligence can be divided into 3 parts which includes –
- Narrow AI (Weak AI) – This is designed to perform a specific task or set of tasks. These systems are task-focused and do not possess generalized intelligence. Example – Recommendation algorithms on Netflix.
- General AI (Strong AI) – These are hypothetical AI systems that are capable of performing any intellectual task a human can do. Such systems can think, learn, and adapt across various fields without explicit reprogramming.
- Super AI (Hypothetical) – This is an advanced form of AI that surpasses human intelligence in all respects, including creativity, decision-making, and emotional understanding.
How AI Works?
Now let’s try to understand how artificial intelligence or AI actually works. So, AI systems rely on data, algorithms, and computational power which includes the below given steps.
- Data: Raw information, often collected from sensors, user interactions, or databases.
- Algorithms: Step-by-step instructions for processing data and making decisions.
- Training Models: In machine learning, models are trained by feeding them data and allowing them to learn patterns or relationships within the data.
Future of AI :
Now at this time, we all probably have a decent idea about the future of artificial intelligence and it’s effects on our real life. Now sometimes I see people on social media discussing that AI would overtake human in the upcoming future.
Though we can’t predict the future, but I personally think that AI will take over many jobs in future (even now it’s happening), so every professionals need to know how to adopt AI in their work space. But I don’t think as of now, the AI wouldn’t become a challenge for the existence of human in earth. But whoever knows!
